The Forbidden Druid v2 is a bike capable beyond its 130 travel. However, the Nine One and Elevensix extended its capabilities. I ride a ton of natural singletrack with loads of rocks, roots, etc. This combo feels like rocks are reduced in half while maintaining support. This magic is scary cool. Ignore your preconception of weight. I climb a lot of tech and tech is now easier to climb. The bike ride more “free” and weight is no issue. I just bought another set for another bike and am considering a third set.
I've owned quite a few brands of forks over the years, all air. Was never a fan of the other coil offerings due to weight and them being originally designed for air. My first ride on the Nine.One was quite frankly mind blowing. The precision of how it tracks, it soaks up the small chatter, but still has plenty of pop, a very sensitive fork but retains a lot of playfulness. Yes, its a few grams heavier than an air fork, but you will forget about it very quickly simply by its dynamics. Paired up with an Eleven.Six, the overall ride improvement is just incredible. Best suspension out there!
What a transformation from stock, this bike rips. We have a lot or steep rocks and roots where I ride and it just totally changed the steering of the bike over choppy terrain. It is confidence inspiring. You will not be disappointed in the investment.
